The beauty of the slow cooker is the simplicity of it- just add recipe ingredients, turn it on, and come home to perfectly cooked comfort food and a house that smells fantastic - as if you spent all day in front of the oven.
  • What are the benefits of using a Slow Cooker?

    Slow cookers are inexpensive, economical to use and they are great for making the most of budget ingredients. Slow cookers offer a healthier, low-fat method of cooking and require the minimum amount of effort. A slow cooker uses less electricity than an electric oven!
  • I thought Slow Cookers were just for meat based recipes?

    Traditionally, they were! Designed for cooking cheap cuts of budget meat, they would cook down the meat and vegetables into stews. over the course of 8 hours or so.
  • How long do the recipes take to make?

    Prep - less than 15 minutes in most cases! And to cook, varies from recipe to recipe, but average around the 3-6 hour mark. Some are longer as we use beans from scratch, or are making stock - others are quicker (like a two hour chocolate pudding cake!)!
  • Are the recipes gluten free?

    Most are! There's a few (pizza/chocolate cake) that require flour- however just substitute for whatever flour you'd normally use!
