Going green relates to many facets of your life – everything from recycling, reducing waste, and making sustainable choices – and it also relates to your diet. The ‘greenest’ diet there is, is a vegan diet. Today I wanted to talk about plastic. I know it’s not glamorous, but don’t switch off yet! Please. It’s a serious issue and one that’s not going away.
Did you know that Australians dump over 1 million tonnes of plastic waste in landfill each year? Believe it or not, enough plastic is discarded every year to circle the globe four times. Even worse, it is estimated that 50% of the plastic on this planet is used only once before being thrown away.
Scary, right?
