Your Guide to an Ethical + Eco-friendly Christmas

Last year I shared my favourite eco friendly and cruelty free gifts for Christmas. It was such a popular blog and I couldn’t wait to do it again!

My idea of gifting is somewhat different than most. I want to gift something more than just a throwaway trifle, or something that’ll be used and forgotten about, or something that harms the earth and its inhabitants.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love giving and receiving gifts as much as the next person, but I want it to actually MEAN something, and I want it to make a difference.

I’ve been guilty of buying rubbish, and have been guilty of leaving unwanted gifts in their boxes and dropping them off at the local Salvos (how many rice cookers does one kitchen need?). I’m not perfect. But each year I aspire to do better than the last.

My favourite gifts have been carefully thought of, handmade, or up-cycled. They’ve been gifts that ‘keep on giving’ and gifts that I won’t part with.

So I wanted to share with you some of my favourite gifts. Gifts that give. Gifts that help make change. Gifts that really mean something.

Ranging from very reasonable ($20) right up to $1000, there’s a range of gifts that I love, and back 100% – as I use them myself!
